Founded in 2013, The Roost Consignment Boutique is a Northern Michigan based consignment shop that specializes in resale and consigning. Our goal is simple, provide customers with the elevated consignment experiences. We focus on selecting gently loved items and reselling them for a great price. During our process with keep both our sellers and buyers in mind. It’s a win, win situation for everyone.

We want to ensure you the best consigning experience. We no longer take walk-ins but we consign by appointment to guarantee you and your items the time you deserve.  Want to learn how to consign, find out more.

Step One:

Schedule an appointment by emailing us. Each one of our customers is important to us. This means when you come in to consign items, we want to block time off to focus on you and your items. We will take up to 15 items each time you consign.

Step Two:

Bring in gently loved items. We ask that they are freshly laundered and clean. If it’s your first-time consigning save time by bringing in a copy of the consignment agreement filled out.

All items on consignment remain in the store up to eight weeks. At the six weeks they are marked down by 25% if they do not sell, we ask that you come and pick them up on a timely fashion. If you would like to skip the pick-up let us know and we will donate them for you. Consigners earn 50% of the sale purchase price. 
 
When Consigning Furniture and other large items we ask that when you request an appointment you have pictures and measurements.

Step Three:

Collect your money. We do all the work while you sit back and collect. Seriously, this is going to be the easiest cash you’ve ever made. You can check your balance here once you’re a cosigner. You’re welcome to stop by at the store to pick up your money, leave it on the account to shop with, or we can send you a check via request.

  • Every Wednesday Seniors and Students can take an additional 15% off. Seniors are anyone over 60 years of age and students are anyone in school or college.
  • Get excited for our Thursday Furniture day. All furniture at The Roost is 10% this is a stackable saving.
  • On Fridays we do a cash discount day. This means anything you purchase in cash is eligible for 10% off. This is another stackable saving.
  • You’ll be able to find savings everyday by checking the price tags. Almost all of the products sell for an additional 15-20% off after six weeks.
  • Extra furniture sales include 25% after one month of being at the store, 50% after being at the store for two months, and then 75% off after being at the store for ten weeks.
  • Come on in with your Roost reusable bag. We honor this as part of the loyalty discount deal. You’ll earn an additional 10% off of all your purchases.
